First Valentines Day Gft that He Liked

Before I was married I often heard that relationships loose their spark two years into the marriage. Not only did I publically oppose this view point, I also resolved that once I was married I’d keep the spark bright and burning. We celebrated our fourth anniversary last year and I have inferred that the spark doesn’t die; it just gets pushed behind the dryer where I can’t hear it screaming for help over the noise of the microwave and my two year old crying because he doesn’t like being in his high chair.

When my husband and I were still dating, we made an event out of every holiday and Valentines day was no exception. We would often bypass Valentines dinner and have a romantic picnic in the park. I’d spend hours on my valentines shopping and I’d doodle hearts on every writable surface I came across in my idle time. Now that I’m married, my husband and I greet each other on valentines day morning by ‘Don’t forget, today’s valentines day’. It either comes of as a threat or as if we’re on a top secret mission on valentines day. I remember last year I was absolutely clueless about what to get my husband for valentines day. I was only beginning to dig my way out of the avalanche of work that had come down after the holidays. I resorted to looking for unique valentine’s day gift ideas online. I found a forum where some woman advised me to get fruit for Valentine’s day. I didn’t think it was a good idea but then I found something called fruit bouquets online. They had a special Valentine’s Day range and a special range for men. I was a bit apprehensive about it at first, because although the fruit bouquet appealed to me very much I wasn’t sure my husband would like it as much. Three days before Valentine’s Day and I was clueless as ever so I ordered the bouquet for my husband hoping he’d at least appreciate the gesture. His reaction was worth seeing when I gave it to him. He just loved it and it had been the first Valentines day gift that he liked ever since we got married. He immediately decided that we go out for a nice romantic valentines dinner. The old spark still has some life in it after all.

Perfect Valentine Gifts for Her

Who does not love gifts, especially if they are the gifts of love? Gifts have always some special meaning to the recipients. It not only makes the recipient feel special, but also it shows love and affection between two persons. If you are selecting gifts for your girlfriend or wife, you should always keep it in mind that girls love tender and romantic gifts. Gifts for her should match with the tender nature of women. Selecting gifts for her will be easier if you consider the personal choices of your girlfriend.

Perfect Valentine Gifts for Her

Flowers: Women just love Valentine flowers. Roses are the most common flowers, which a person presents to his sweetheart. Apart from rose, carnations, lilies, calla lilies, daffodils, orchids etc also can be presented to your girlfriend. But do not forget to add a personalized note with the flowers. Flowers truly convey your message of love with their sweet fragrance and charming appearance.

•Cook for her: Did you ever cook for her ever? You may say that you are not a good cook… isn’t it? However, this does not matter, what actually matters is your passion and love behind making meals for her. Besides that, internet and all the recipe books are there to help you. Make something exotic, which she never tasted before.

•Perfume message: This is one of the most romantic gift ideas of your girlfriend. Choose her favorite perfume and make sure that the perfume bottle is translucent. Now select a love massage for her. You can write your own or simply can choose from the collection of pre-written messages. Wrap the bottle carefully. This is a gift, which will always remind her about you.

Heart shaped pendant: Does your girlfriend or wife love jewelry? You can gift her heart shaped pendant. This is a gift, which your beloved can wear every time and everywhere. This is truly an exotic gift. If you can spend a little more on this, you can buy a diamond pendant for your girlfriend.

Her favorite novel: Does she love reading? If yes, then present her favorite author’s book, which she loves to read again and again. Girls are naturally romantic and they like romantic novels, while some girls prefer sci-fi novels to other genres. Always consider her choice before selecting gifts for her.

Valentine’s Day gift ideas

When I was in pre-school I wasn’t particularly found of decorating shoe boxes to make special valentines day mail boxes or for making valentines for every kid in my class. I was the only girl who didn’t bring in half a crafts store when the day for decorating our boxes arrived. This continued all through school and I attributed this behavior to my lack of creativity and a general dislike for scrapbooking and turning a jam jar into a pen holder.

I got my first store bought valentine day gift in junior year. In addition to a valentine chocolate gift, I also received three heart shaped valentine messages; one of them was from a ‘secret admirer’. That’s when I realized that I had a taste for the finer non-hand crafted things in life. The bottom line is it may be cute when you’re kid makes a heart shaped note for you but there is no way on earth I’ll want anything less than the best from my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. Personally I think the constant search for romantic gifts for me keeps him on his toes. When he screws up or something he knows just what should accompany his apology (a big necessity as he’s not really a man of words). Over the course of three years I have refined his taste in gifts that he buys for me. There was actually a time when he thought a champagne bottle and a Dido CD could pass for a Valentine’s Day gift. His skill has gotten to a point where he can actually surprise me with Valentine gifts. He finds the best valentine’s day gift baskets of chocolate and makes great arrangements for Valentines dinner. Last year we had a romantic evening out, we wined and dined and when I got home I had a special fruit bouquet waiting for me. It was something he had found during his search for unique Valentine’s Day gift ideas. It was a real winner and although I prefer getting a different gift each year on all occasions, I’m actually hoping I’ll get another fruit bouquet this year!
